The hygienic handling solution utilizes Yaskawa’s new HD-series robots, Fizyr’s PANOPTICTM vision AI, a binpick food cell from Van Wees Waalwijk, and programming support from Alpha Robotica. This combination of expertise and cutting-edge technology aims to meet the high standards for cleanliness and accuracy required in hygienic applications such as food picking and laboratory automation.

The initial installation of this solution is for a salad production company, where two HD7 robots accurately place pieces of raw peppers and bags of salad dressing in bowls of lettuce. The Fizyr PANOPTICTM technology determines the position of the objects and the correct placement position with precision. The machine is designed for mobility and can be easily wheeled into place on the production line. With all necessary components included, operation is as simple as connecting it to a power supply and compressed air and selecting the program. The machine also features a turntable and can accommodate four crates of ingredients, allowing the production line to continue running during a crate change.
