Partnership Between First Series and Phase Change Solutions Aims to Help UK Meet Waste Reduction Targets with Apollo™ Panels

First Series Ltd. and Phase Change Solutions (PCS) have announced a partnership to commercialize sustainable solutions for the UK refrigeration market. First Series will distribute Apollo™ Panels manufactured by PCS, which feature PCS’ patented BioPCM® technology to reduce medicine waste and lower the carbon footprint of the healthcare industry.

The Apollo™ Panel provides up to 7 additional hours of temperature protection during power outages and/or mechanical failures, while reducing energy consumption and maintenance on refrigeration equipment. Simon Gold, Principal of First Series, commented on the partnership: “The Apollo™ Panels will be a valuable addition to our product portfolio offering assurance that product waste can be eliminated while saving energy.”

Govi Rao, CEO of PCS, added, “We are excited to partner with First Series, introducing BioPCM® based products, in the UK. In keeping with our principles of circularity, our goal is to eliminate pharmaceutical product waste with advanced materials solutions. This saves time and money for GP practices.”

The Apollo™ Panels are available to purchase through Williams Medical’s website, the exclusive distributor for Apollo™ Panels in the UK. Health Innovation East’s report, which highlights trials completed in August 2023, provides details of the Apollo™ Panel’s performance.

First Series Ltd. is committed to reducing the carbon footprint and environmental impact of its operations and industry partners, while PCS is on a mission to revolutionize pharmaceutical refrigeration, reduce waste, and ensure the safe storage of medicines. PCS’ BioPCM® products are designed to absorb and release thermal energy at precise temperatures, minimize stress on compressors in refrigerators, and reduce their carbon footprint.

First Series Ltd. and Phase Change Solutions have joined forces to provide a sustainable solution for the UK refrigeration market, with the aims of reducing medicine waste and lowering the carbon footprint of the healthcare industry.
