New Yorkshire Site Expands GAP Group North East’s National Presence

GAP Group North East, a nationwide provider of fully accredited electrical recycling and resource recovery services, recently announced the upcoming opening of a new operational site in Yorkshire. This expansion is a significant milestone in the company’s growth, driven by a commitment to effectively serve customers across the UK.

With established processing facilities in Gateshead and Perthshire, the addition of a Yorkshire site is a natural progression for GAP Group NE. The Gateshead and Perth locations already provide strong coverage in the North East and Scotland, respectively. The new Yorkshire site will serve as a central hub, improving services for customers in Yorkshire, the Midlands, the South of England, and Wales. This will reduce collection distances and increase processing speed and flexibility for partners in those regions.

According to Nigel Tomlinson, Commercial Director at GAP Group North East, “As demand grows, our mission is to make sure every customer, regardless of their location, receives the same level of service, speed, and compliance support. The Yorkshire site is a crucial step in achieving this goal.”

The opening of the Yorkshire site will bring immediate benefits to GAP Group’s diverse customer base, which includes businesses of all sizes, local authorities, compliance schemes, and brokers. These benefits include more efficient transport routes, reduced lead times, and greater flexibility in collections and processing.

Additionally, the new site will help GAP Group meet the growing demand for WEEE compliance services. With increasing regulatory pressure, businesses, local authorities, compliance schemes, and brokers are seeking reliable and accredited partners to manage their waste streams. As a result, the demand for GAP Group’s processing services has significantly grown.

By expanding their network, GAP Group can continue to provide reliable, responsive, and efficient processing services to all of their customers. Whether it’s a facilities management provider coordinating multi-site collections, a retailer managing a store refit, a construction contractor clearing a live project, an education trust refreshing its IT estate, or a broker fulfilling obligations on behalf of their clients, the Yorkshire site will allow GAP Group to say yes more often and more efficiently.
