Intertech Contracts UK Ltd has confirmed that three long-serving employees – Dean Thomas, Nick Scholey and Wayne Tompkins – have been appointed as directors.

The three have been influential in the company’s development for many years. As directors, they will continue to shape Intertech’s next chapter while leading in their respective fields.

This development signals a new phase for the Hull-based contractor, which delivers decorating and interior fit-out services to clients across the UK in sectors such as education, healthcare, commercial and public services.

Dean Thomas began his career with Intertech in 2002 as a decorator. His strong work ethic and leadership abilities led him to gain his QCF Level 3 in Site Management in 2011, supporting his progression into project leadership.

Dean has since become recognised for fostering teamwork and managing projects to a high standard.

“Being a director surrounded by a great team and the opportunity to take the company on to new heights means everything to me,” said Dean.

Nick Scholey joined the business in 2008 after serving as an RAF firefighter and later building experience at Howdens Joinery. He initially took on the role of site QC during nationwide Project SLAM programmes, which developed his operational and technical understanding.

Nick has since contributed significantly across estimating, client development and delivery.

“I see becoming a director as an opportunity not only to grow myself, but also the business and teams within it, essentially feeding the potential to enhance and improve the lives of more than just one person,” said Nick.

Wayne Tompkins also joined in 2008 when the business operated as Prestige Contract Services Ltd. Starting in purchasing, he progressed into contract management, before moving into a commercial finance leadership role following rebrand to Intertech Contracts in 2017.

With nearly two decades of company experience, Wayne will now play a central role in shaping the company’s strategic growth.

“Becoming a director of a company I’ve been a part of for so long is a true privilege,” said Wayne. “It’s an opportunity for us to take the company to the next level and further develop the team I’ve worked alongside for many years.”

Former Director Terrence Pallant commented: “I wish the new directors every success as they take the company forward. They will lead with a fresh vision and determination, bringing their wealth of experience, knowledge and a strong commitment to continued growth and client service.”

These internal promotions highlight Intertech’s long-standing focus on career development and nurturing its workforce. The strengthened leadership team leaves the company well positioned for its next stage of expansion.
