First ecommerce purchase prompts London entrepreneur to initiate search for UK acquisitions

London-based entrepreneur, Charles Reay-Smith, has announced his search for further UK business acquisitions, a year after purchasing the ecommerce brand AlloyArmor.

In July 2025, Reay-Smith acquired AlloyArmor, a brand known for its designer protective cases for iPhone and AirPods, through its online store, alloyarmor.store. The brand offers a wide range of products, including the popular Invisa Case, Hercules Case, and The Serpent. The details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Following the success of AlloyArmor, Reay-Smith is now exploring opportunities in ecommerce, services, and light industrial businesses in the United Kingdom. He is specifically interested in profitable, owner-operated companies where the founder is looking to step back.

“AlloyArmor taught me the realities of owning a business in its first year, which involves a lot of behind-the-scenes work,” said Reay-Smith. “However, this experience has given me the confidence to take on my next venture. I am more interested in acquiring an established business and fixing the areas that have been neglected, rather than starting from scratch.”

Aside from his role as an entrepreneur, Reay-Smith is also the founder and manager of Reay Smith Property, a specialist HMO management business in south and west London. He plans to build a portfolio of small UK businesses that he will hold for the long term, rather than selling them quickly for a profit.

“I am particularly interested in businesses whose owners are looking to retire and do not have a successor in mind,” added Reay-Smith. “My goal is not to turn these businesses around or strip them back, but to maintain their success and continue their growth.”

Business owners, brokers, and intermediaries who are interested in working with Reay-Smith can reach out to the contact provided below.
