Hessle-based digital agency Eyeweb has raised an impressive £1,909.87 (including Gift Aid) for NHS Health Stars after completing a 26.2-mile charity walk spanning from Brough to Hornsea.
The challenge, named Cards Against Eyeweb, took place on 26 September 2025 and included a range of light-hearted forfeits such as “Eat a dog biscuit”, “Wear face paint”, and “Team chant with pom poms”. The creative concept kept the team motivated while providing plenty of entertainment for supporters along the route.
Generous backing from local sponsors, including Dutch Imports & Daughters and Re-Dec Painting & Decorating Services, combined with individual donations from the community, helped the group reach their fundraising milestone.
“The team is absolutely thrilled with the amount raised,” said Paul Scott, Managing Director of Eyeweb. “It was a tough challenge, but the forfeits definitely kept us laughing. We’re so grateful to everyone who donated, cheered us on or sponsored the event.”
Eyeweb’s connection with NHS Health Stars goes beyond this fundraiser—the agency previously designed and developed the charity’s website. NHS Health Stars, the official charity of Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, funds essential projects and equipment that enhance patient care and staff wellbeing beyond standard NHS provisions.
“We are so grateful to everyone at Eyeweb for taking on this challenge and for choosing to support Health Stars.” Said Anita Green, Charity Manager at NHS Health Stars.
“The money they have raised is already making a real difference to people in our communities, adding sparkle to the care that they receive from our fabulous teams.”
The proceeds will help fund current and future Health Stars projects, including recent initiatives such as providing new emergency clothing for patients at the mental health crisis assessment ward.
