EUTOP Group Under New Management

Munich, Germany – The EUTOP Group has announced the appointment of Stefan Mappus as its new Managing Director. Alongside long-standing Managing Director Christian Schaufler, Mappus will lead the Group and its operations. As a member of the management board, Mappus will oversee EUTOP’s client business, leveraging his extensive experience in politics, administration, and business to benefit the Group’s clients.

Mappus brings a wealth of professional experience to his new role. After completing an apprenticeship as an industrial business manager at Standard Elektrik Lorenz AG and serving in the military, he studied economics and social sciences at the University of Hohenheim. He later became a research assistant at the university before entering politics.

His successful political career includes serving as a state parliament member in Baden-Württemberg from 1996 to 2011, where he held various positions, including State Secretary, Minister, CDU parliamentary group leader, and ultimately Minister President of the State of Baden-Württemberg. Since stepping down from active politics in 2012, Mappus has worked as an advisor to the Management Board of pmOne AG. From 2015 to 2023, he served as a member of the Management Board and held the position of Group CFO from 2017 to 2023.

The EUTOP Group’s founder, shareholder, and Chairman of the Advisory Board, Prof Dr Klemens Joos, believes Mappus’ appointment is a significant step in the Group’s unique market positioning. “With the addition of the former Minister President of Baden-Württemberg, the EUTOP Group is further bolstering its ability to provide exceptional support to its clients in process-oriented political representation of interests,” said Joos.

Since 1990, the EUTOP Group has been a leading partner for private companies, associations, and organizations seeking to navigate the complex political landscape of the European Union and select EU member states. With a team of over 150 employees and expert structural advisors, the Group offers its clients a comprehensive range of services to effectively represent their interests. In addition to the client’s content competence, EUTOP provides process structure competence, perspective change competence, and process support competence, all of which are essential for successful representation of interests.
