“Cork City’s Inaugural Padel Club Opens with a €4 Million Investment”

Cork City’s Padel Community Gets New Home with The Hive Padel Club’s Grand Opening in December

Cork City’s padel enthusiasts have something to look forward to this December with the grand opening of The Hive Padel Club. The state-of-the-art facility, located on Monahan Road, is the result of a €4 million investment by local company The Hive, transforming a 19,000 sq ft industrial space into a modern, purpose-built venue.

David Farrell, General Manager of The Hive, said, “The Hive is more than just a club, it’s the start of a new community movement in Cork. Our goal is to create a place where people can move, connect, and belong. After two years of searching for the perfect location, we’re thrilled with the outcome and cannot wait to share it with everyone. The idea for The Hive stemmed from the lack of padel opportunities within Cork City, despite its popularity across Europe.”

The Hive Padel Club boasts five indoor panoramic courts with nine-metre ceilings and dedicated spaces for coaching and training. The facility is designed to meet the growing demand for padel in Cork City and provide players of all levels with access to premium, professional-standard amenities.

In addition to the courts, The Hive also features an on-site café and retail area, promoting interaction and social connection among players. The space aims to be a community hub where players can gather before and after games.

The Hive Padel Club will open its doors to the public in December, with bookings available through their dedicated app and website. Bookings will open in December, so stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, follow @TheHivePadel on Instagram and Facebook for behind-the-scenes progress and the latest news from Cork’s new hub for padel.
