CIBSE Renames UAE to CIBSE MENA, Reflecting Growing Activity and Membership Across Region
Thursday 30 October, 2025 – The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) is pleased to announce that its UAE region has been renamed to CIBSE MENA, in line with the Institution’s expanding presence and impact across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This strategic change reflects the growth of the building services industry in the area and aims to further enhance CIBSE’s reach and relevance.
Since its establishment, CIBSE UAE has played a central role in supporting building services professionals in the United Arab Emirates. However, over time, the region has experienced significant development, and CIBSE’s activities have also evolved. From being primarily focused on the UAE, CIBSE’s reach and engagement have extended to other countries within the MENA region, with a growing interest in building services activity.
By renaming the region to CIBSE MENA, the Institution ensures that its structure aligns with the locations where its members are active and where the industry is expanding. This change also reflects CIBSE’s commitment to being a global, member-centric organization that adapts to the evolving needs of its members, including the structure of its geographical regions.
