The Heaven’s Playground BLAW Choir, a local charity group based in Crewe, Cheshire, has released a heartfelt new single titled “Turning Pink and Blue” on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The choir, formed to raise awareness and support for families affected by baby loss, consists of five women and one man who came together through Facebook to share their experiences and break the silence surrounding this topic.
The single, written and performed by the group, is a moving tribute to the lives lost too soon and the families who carry their memory every day. With Baby Loss Awareness Week approaching (October 9-15), the choir hopes to spark conversations, offer comfort, and raise funds for related support services through their song.
“Turning Pink and Blue” is a reflection of the symbolic colors of the awareness campaign and its lyrics speak to the emotions of grief, hope, and remembrance. Michelle Tomkinson, who wrote the lyrics and also serves as the CEO of Heavens Playground, shared, “We wanted to create something that not only honors our own journeys but also helps others feel seen and supported. Music has the power to heal, and we hope this song reaches anyone who needs it.”
The single is now available on all major streaming platforms, and the choir is encouraging the public to download, share, and support the track in hopes of reaching the UK charts during Baby Loss Awareness Week.
