/Alkagesta Expands Marine Fuel Operations with Successful Delivery in Romania

– Completed first truck-to-vessel marine fuel supply operation in Constanța
– Delivered over 50 metric tonnes of marine gasoil
– Strengthening presence in Romanian energy markets
– Continues to enhance distribution capabilities across Europe
– Achieved significant milestones in sustainable fuels and Asia operations

Alkagesta, the international energy and commodity trading house based in Malta, has successfully conducted its inaugural truck-to-vessel marine fuel supply operation in Constanța, Romania. On October 2, 2026, two trucks delivered a total of 50.164 metric tonnes of marine gasoil, highlighting the company’s growing distribution capabilities within the Romanian energy sector.

This operation is indicative of Alkagesta’s expanding commercial strength across European energy markets throughout 2026. Earlier in the year, the company gained access to the NATO Central Europe Pipeline System, initiating Jet A1 deliveries into the European aviation market. This development came during a period of acute supply pressure due to increased military usage of the pipeline, complicating civilian fuel distribution. Additionally, Alkagesta successfully completed its first crude oil transactions, delivering approximately 1.07 million barrels to the Far East.

In its commitment to sustainable fuels, Alkagesta secured a multi-year biofuel storage agreement at Pantank in Antwerp and a five-year feedstock offtake agreement for Used Cooking Oil, thereby consolidating its position in the European biofuels value chain. Meanwhile, the company’s Singapore hub reported marine fuel trading volumes reaching approximately 250,000 metric tonnes monthly in its first year of operations, while its fertilizer division continued to adapt to significant supply chain disruptions and global agricultural food security challenges.

The recent operation in Constanța enhances Alkagesta’s distribution capabilities in Romania, a country that has increasingly become a vital part of the company’s regional activities related to petroleum products and biofuels throughout 2026.
